Birthday and Surgery

February brought my 42nd birthday. Mike took me to see Brian Regan, our favorite comedian, at Abravenal Hall the Thursday before. My actual birthday fell on a Sunday, so the family cooked dinner, and Danika made decadent individual chocolate cheesecakes. We played cards after dinner. It was a great birthday--lots of laughs and good food.

 

 
Two days later Mike went in for his 4th back surgery at the University of Utah Hospital. The surgeon went in and removed scar tissue to try and help decompress the nerve on the left side of his lower back.

Along came Valentine's Day. Danika and Megan made Linda's sugar cookies. Our very favorite recipe! Mmmmm.
