Brooke Goes Braces-Free!

Brooke got her braces off on July 13, 2011. She was more than excited! The office posts the names of the patients who are getting their braces off that day on a big sign. They always spelled Brooke's name wrong--both of them ("Marissa Brook").

Then the orthodontists, technicians, and their office staff all sing a song to the Macarena and walk around the patient with maracas. It's kind of embarrassing, but kind of fun too.

Then off come the braces! Well worth the wait!

Danika got her braces off last month . . . what a goof.


And Brooke got hers on 2 days ago . . .

And thus, the torch passes from one sister to the other.

My Baby's Growin' Up Too Fast!

Danika got her braces on today, and I feel like I did on her first day of Kindergarten! She has waited for this day for a long time, since her baby teeth were slow to fall out (she's still getting her molars), and we have been putting it off due to terrible insurance coverage :) Well, she sure looks different, but she's still a cutie!
